Ne'r again I fear shall the Foxglove heal,
as I hath seen both its insincerity and hurt wrought by ill tempted folk.
Not even the Cinnamon may purify this taint of dread, left by the Judas tree;
for its betrayal stings deep.

Declarations of danger so rarely heeded,
So warns the fell Monkshood;
O! Be wry of one whom holds dire Hemlock
he whom solemnly vows to send another to death.

Shrill is a woman's cry, Where dwells the Baby's-breath?
Would it still be the purity of true intentions,
or has it been replanted into the grief of the Marigold?

like stars, Buttercups sleep with the Daisy;
to hard eyes, their loyal love lays hidden.
truer children none can claim. Even now they show hope.

If the courage of Thyme allowed me the strength,
to be shown the DogsBane,
and I repented the falsehood it showed,
would kings still be so inclined to the Scarlet Auricula and its boyish pride?
Will the cause of  arrogance, Crown Imperial,
sleep if I just passed by its hidden worth?
If only Coriander clearer showed the way.

How deeply i have cried,
forsaken, abandoned , lost in my loneliness, Anemone harken!
My hope doth fade.
Despair even such as this,
forgiveness i can only beg, Hyacinth.
O, dearest one, my regrets follow you to your grave,
Asphodel, why have you come to me?

This was one of the Help guides for a d&d I made, a old school style with no maps and storytelling being the main focus, rather then more adventure/hack and slash. This was a last ditch attempt to make it easer for the player to have a clue of what was going on, so I didn't have much time to make it more flowing. But it got the job done, so for that I'm glad.

It was a really fun game to DM for, even if for this round it was only for one other person, she well, her character made such interesting choices! And somehow ended up with a immortal buttercup knight for a body guard. :lmao:

Though I felt a bit bad at times, since the game was focused around symbolic imagery, namely flowers, which help tell the tale of what had happened in in the adventure.
And she didn't know much on obscure flower meanings. XD

She did really well though, especially  if you consider her character didn't even know what flowers really were! She took the scraps of help and figured it out in record time.

There is one other biggish poem that was written for the game, but it was designed more for a scavenger hunt, so it might be a bit odd to read out of context, not that this is much different...

>.> also, I some how deleted the art I was going to be posting from last week, so until I get it back on my iPad, I hope you don't mind my sharing the games poems!

Thank you for your time, and hope you have a good one!
